Realizing the failure of the human race, God decided to send a flood to wipe out all the sinners. The only people survive were a righteous man called Noah and his family. Apparently God sent him a warning telling him of the flood. As a sign of his promise the human race he placed a rainbow in the sky reminding humanity of His eternal love for them, even when they sin.
